The RAAF at Hombu Dojo

Every Aikidoka's dream, who is really interested in studying the martial arts, is to get to train at Hombu Dojo,the world headquarters of Aikido. During 2008 many romanian Aikidoka (Ciupuliga Carmina, Daniel Dobrota, Iulian Perpelici-Arad; Bunea Adrian, Christmas Crisitan, Despa Sorin, Gramada Roxana, Adriana Inoan, George Stoian Bucharest, Takahiro Kawashima, Marchis Dorin, Stan Oana, Toma Sorin-Cluj ) from the Romanian Aikikai Aikido Foundation had the opportunity to visit Japan and train at Hombu Dojo. For them, this dream came true. Housing conditions were assured by the Romanian Aikikai Aikido Foundation , which owns an apartment,in Shinjuku Tokyo, located near Hombu Dojo. The romanian practitioners had the opportunity to choose the training that they wanted to attend throughout the day at Hombu Dojo, where the schedule is complex, structured by days and by hours, teachers, of which you can choose the classes that you want to attend. Although the first impulse is to go to all 5 / 6 (depending on weekdays) training, it is almost physically impossible, because they are extremely demanding, although each lasts one hour. Media participation in training Aikidoka was 3-4 trainings per day.
We are convinced that this great experience and hopefully not the only one of this kind, to assist and practice in personal at Hombu Dojo has marked each Aikidoka in thier evolution on their "Way of the Harmony" and that they we will share it, either in writing or personally on the tatami in future meetings.
The series of trips to Japan of the RAAF delegation at the Hombu Dojo began in February 2009, with a delegation formed by Bogdan Bilt, Dorin Marchis and Takahiro Kawashima.
