I was born on 27th March 1969, star sign Aries. I am married with two children (a seven-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter). I have graduated my Master degree at the National Sports Academy in Sofia. In the 1980s (for almost 10 years) I was practicing free style wrestling. I started practicing aikido in 1990 with Georgi Ivanov Sensei, one of the aikido founders in Bulgaria. 

 

Since 1991 I have been a student of Masatake Fujita Sensei, 8th Dan Aikikai Shihan. I defended 4th dan in front of Fujita Sensei in 2007. I am the chairman and chief instructor of Fenix Aikido Club. As for more than twenty years I have been studying the physical aspect of aikido, from now on I wish myself to continue practicing with the same enthusiasm and faith in order to achieve its spiritual aspect.

My motto:

Trying for the 1000th time without success, you have not lost timeand energy, because you already know 1000 ways how not to do it.

 

Mehmed Mehmedov sensei will be present in Cluj - Napoca for the seminar with shihan Yukimitsu Kobayashi and he will conduct the first sunday morning training.
