Seminar with Motohiro Fukakusa Shihan at the Headquartes

A rapid style, a strong man and an unbreakable spirit. Shortly Motohiro Fukakusa Shihan.
At the third seminar organized by the Romanina Aikikai Aikido Foundation and lead by Motohiro Fukakusa Shihan, more than 120 aikidoka from Romania and abroad were presents.
The seminar that took place between the 22nd- 25th of July was a special one because it was dedicated to Nobuyoshi Tamura Shihan 8th Dan Aikikai Aikido, who passed away on the 9th of July in France, and to Masatake Fujita Shihan 8th Dan Aikikai Aikido (Technical Supervisor of Romanian Aikikai Aikido Foundation).
Fukakusa Shihan thought us that the first step in reaching harmony is unity and one way to reach unity is by weapon practice. Bokken or jo practice helps you to use all your body in a technique, otherwise you will fail in executing the technique. Bokken practice, first of all, teaches us proper and stable hanmi.
The most important lesson that Fukakusa Shihan taught us every time that he came in Romania was to believe. Believe in yourself, believe in your practice, and believe that anything you what can become reality.
The practice was hard and because this weekend the weather was hot, the practice became harder. Fukakusa Shihan like always captivated us with its teaching style. When demonstrating a technique he did not only present the correct way to do it but also how not to.
The trainings were divided in two groups, so the advanced students had their own special practice for training with tanto. Following the tradition Saturday evening we organized the Sayonara Party in Dojo.
Thank you all for the effort of being present.
