Festive practice

On December 9th a “Festive Practice” took place in the gym of Vasile Lucaciu High school. On this occasion three different styles of martial arts were promoted: Aikikai Aikido, Qwan-Ki-Do and Taekwon-do ITF, trainings lead by Rafael Tihai, Facaeru Marcel, Orban Andreea, Fantana Dorel and Liviu Rugasan.
Through this action we desire to promote martial arts in their proper form, trying to emphasize the difference between practicing a sport or a martial way. Secondly we want to create a spirit of support in our members. In my opinion the instructor role is not only to train someone, to introduce him some physical exercises, is about offering his a good example to reach.
The idea of practicing not only one martial art in one training session comes from the desire of unity, and is a necessity in order to subdue the competition spirit. We are trying this way to implement the idea that practitioners should not compete between them. There is no such thing as good or bad martial art is just martial arts that continued to improve and maintaining a straight line.
Discussing with different practitioners from different styles, I was surprised to found out Aikido captivated they attention in this seminar; one of them, a national champion in Taekwondo said:” Aikido… this is the supreme martial arts; I hardly wait to try it.” This type of attitude is a good one for everyone, showing respect to each other.
I finish by saying that this was a great event very complex, in which we celebrated practicing.
