Discover Aikido
The Romanian Aikido Aikikai Foundation and the Center of Japanese Art and Culture offer you a documentary about the life and work of Master Masatake Fujita, one of the greatest personalities of the Aikido world.
Master Masatake Fujita started to practice Aikido at the age of 19 years, being attracted by the personality of O-Sensei, Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido. Gradually, through the efforts and devotion for Aikido, sensei Fujita became the personal secretary of O-Sensei. Although he attended the Faculty of Economics of the Takushoku University in Tokyo, he followed a career in this field, and dedicated his entire life for the promoting and the study of Aikido in the world. Today, his fame goes beyond the borders of the community of the Aikido practitioners, master Fujita is a well known personality in the World of Martial Arts. He kept Aikido courses, conferences and seminars throughout the world, starting with North America and South America, and continuing with Asia, Oceania and Europe.
For this purpose a delegation consisting of: Dorin Marchis, Takahiro Kawashima and two operators: Cosmin Osorhean and Viorel Ciocianu will accompany master Fujita, throughout 2008 in all countries where he will Aikido in seminars, including Japan.
Traveling from continent to continent, over this year and beyond, we will try, along with Master Masatake Fujita to unravel the mysteries of Aikido, to understand the legacy of O-Sensei, Morihei Ueshiba, and to discover the secrets of this great art.
That’s why we named this project: “Discover Aikido“.
