Found raising

Found raising for the building of a statue for O-Sensei in the district of Iwama

We recieved these days a letter from Hombu Dojo,in which it is written:

"It is said that Aikido is now practiced in about 90 countries by some 1.6 million people.
In 2009 we are going to see the 40th year of the passing away of Aikido Founder, Morihei Ueshiba.
On the occasion of this commemorative opportunity, we plan to work with a project to raise a statue in memory of the Founder of Aikido's great accomplishment in the precincts of the Aiki Shrine in Iwama City, where O-Sensei passed his later years pursuing completion of Aikido.
Under such circumstances, we would like to ask for your kind support of the said project, and we appeal for financial contributions from world Aikido practitioners. Your contribution will be used to finance the costs of this project estimated as JPY 25,000,000.
Your cooperation would be much appreciated, and we thank you in advance for your kind consideration and support. "
